The Month of May in Indianapolis is exciting. But no one can deny that this year, with the 100th Anniversary, the engines are roaring even more loudly. If you are a race fan, you must listen in with Kristi Lee and Indianapolis Motor Speedway President, Doug Boles.
Doug has an extreme passion for the sport, and has been a life long fan of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing.” Like many, that passion grew as a young boy, when he visited the Speedway with his father. With Kristi, he shares some of his favorite Indy 500 memories, his racing hero, and his prized memorabilia.
Doug lends some inside information on what his team is doing to make the 100th running even more spectacular, and some of the outlandish stunts that are being done to promote the IMS, such as jumping out of airplanes, pulling an Olympic skier around a yard of bricks, and camping out in a tent to promote the camping opportunities at the Speedway.
Doug is very active on Twitter. If you’re a fan, he is a great guy to follow because he’s always posting updates on the changes and exciting things that are happening leading up to the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500.
